Ziploc that Binder Stuff!!!

I have a 13 year old middle-schooler who, this year, requires a few more items dedicated for one class or another.  For example, math class requires a calculator.  He was putting all his minor classroom essentials into one pencil case carrying it from class to class.

Alas, when homework time was neigh, he took out his workbook and his binder.  When I asked him where his calculator was, his reply was 'in my pencil case...in my locker'.   Ugh!  I realized he needed a pencil case setup for every binder, but it was a school night, I was already settled into my evening home routine and was not going out to hunt for binder pencil cases.  As a quick fix and to help him keep organized and keep all of his subject items together I used a quart-sized freezer zip-lock bag.  They are tougher than a sandwich bag, can have holes poked through the bottom to fit into his binder and can zip up his supplies for each subject. In addition, he has a clear view of what he is looking for.  I never went on the hunt for binder pencil cases.   This works just fine!

I began to use the same fix for business receipts.  As I write down in my handy dandy binder what, where and with whom I was conducting business, I slip the receipt into a large Freezer zip-lock.  I have multiple bags because of the various items I keep receipts for.

An inexpensive fix for both of us.
