HappyLite - Sunshine Supplement Light System

During the winter months, I, like a lot of you, suffer from sunlight deprivation, or Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).  I painted the interior of my home in reds, oranges, yellows and greens with the hope that it would brighten my mood.  In addition, I play Springtime music with birds chirping and bees buzzing and diffuse essential oils.  These solutions have helped, but still something was missing!  Sunlight!

Today, as well as yesterday in New York, it has been raining, damp and grey and even with my morning exercise, I was feeling sluggish, I needed sunlight.

The remedy to this 'sun deprivation' came to me via a gift from my husband one Christmas.  A 'HappyLite' Sunshine Supplement Light System.  Yes, you heard me. . . sunshine supplement.  I have it on right now, as I type this.  This invention has done wonders for my Seasonal Affective Disorder as well as for extended rainy, grey days.

The Gaiam.com  website where my husband purchased this item states in their product description:

When you need the healing relief of sunlight, bathe in the power of the 10,000 lux glare-free natural spectrum® HappyLite Deluxe Light Bath. The HappyLite Deluxe Light Bath helps alleviate light-deficiency symptoms, whether from rainy days, seasonal change, jet lag or shift work. Compact, light and easy to carry, the HappyLite lightbox offers desk stand or wall-mount options. High-performance, flicker-free electronic ballast blocks harmful EMI and RF transmissions, with no harmful UV rays. 19½"H x 13¼'"W x 4"D. 10 lb. China.

Not recommended for those with cataracts.

This system works!   My children will be walking up the driveway from school momentarily.  The positive effects of the light therapy is kicking in and I'm feeling good.  I'm ready to tackle homework, the drama of their day, after school activities and dinner.
