Wedding Cake Martini

Some of the most special times that I experience in my life are my one-on-one dates with my kids, whether scheduled or impromptu.  Those special moments are hard to come by sometimes, especially with the hustle and bustle of daily life; I try to find time and I try to make our time together something meaningful.

One of my favorite things to do with my beautiful, adult daughter is to have a chick flick movie night.  Well, let me rephrase that.  It is specifically Pride and Prejudice movie night.  Every once in awhile, my girl and I just need to settle in with our go to martini and *sigh* at Mr.  Darcy.

If you have yet to schedule a date with your child..do it!  Whatever age.  You will be creating the greatest moments and memories of your lives.  They will look back and cherish those times with just you; you will have created strong, loving bond.

Well, as I said, my adult child and I share a favorite martini...called The Wedding Cake.

Here's how to shake it up:

The Wedding Cake Martini

2 oz Pinnacle Whipped Cream vodka
(Vanilla or your standard vodka is good too)
2 oz Cointreau
6-8 oz pineapple juice

*fill your martini shaker 1/2 with ice.  Add your vodka, Cointreau and pineapple juice and shake, shake, shake.

....and....enjoy each other's company!
